Interior Painting in Charlotte, NC

Walls, ceilings, trim and doors. We prep and repair the drywall first, which is why our finish looks new instead of looking like fresh paint over old damage.

Free, no-obligation estimates Insured One crew — patch, finish and paint

Paint doesn't hide damage. It highlights it.

Fresh paint is reflective and even, so every dent, crack, nail pop and old patch underneath it gets easier to see, not harder. That's the single most common disappointment after a paint job: the room is a nicer color and the walls still look tired.

Because we do drywall every day, the repair work is included in how we think about a paint job rather than being someone else's problem. Cracks get taped, pops get re-set and skimmed, dings get filled, and textures get matched before a drop of finish paint goes on.

What a room actually includes

  • Protection first — floors covered, furniture moved to the center and sheeted, hardware and switch plates removed rather than cut around.
  • Repair and prep — patch, sand, caulk gaps at trim, spot-prime stains and repairs so they don't flash through the topcoat.
  • Cut and roll — clean straight lines at ceilings, corners and trim. Two coats unless the color genuinely doesn't need it, and we'll say so if it doesn't.
  • Cleanup and walkthrough — hardware back on, floors clear, and we walk the room with you before we load out.

Ceilings, trim and doors

Ceilings show roller marks and flashing more than any other surface in the house, so they get a flat ceiling paint and a consistent wet edge. Trim and doors are where a paint job either looks professional or doesn't — that's caulk lines, sanding between coats, and enough patience to let a coat cure before the next one.

Color, sheen and the practical stuff

We'll talk through sheen honestly: flat hides wall imperfection but scuffs, eggshell is the usual right answer for living spaces, satin and semi-gloss belong on trim, doors and bathrooms. If you're between two colors, sample them on the actual wall and look at them at night under your own lights — the store's lighting lies.

Questions people ask

Interior Painting FAQs

Do you repair the walls before painting, or is that extra?

Normal prep — filling nail holes, caulking trim gaps, spot-sanding — is part of every paint job. Real drywall repair like patching holes, re-setting nail pops across a ceiling or matching texture is quoted with the job so you can see what it costs. Either way it's the same crew, so nothing gets skipped and handed off.

How much does it cost to paint a room in Charlotte?

It depends on ceiling height, how much trim there is, whether ceilings are included, and how much repair the walls need. That's why the estimate is on-site and free — we'd rather look at the room than guess at a number over the phone and change it later.

How long does interior painting take?

A single average room is typically one day. A whole main floor is usually several days depending on trim and ceilings. We give you the schedule before we start and we tell you which rooms are usable each evening.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. We move it to the center of the room and cover it. If you have anything fragile, valuable or genuinely heavy, it helps if you move that yourself beforehand — everything else is on us.

What paint do you use?

Quality mid-to-premium interior paint appropriate to the surface and sheen. If you have a brand or line you want, we'll use it. If you don't, we'll recommend based on the room rather than on what's cheapest that week.

Can you paint kitchen cabinets too?

Yes — cabinets are a separate process involving degreasing, deglossing, priming and spraying rather than brushing. See our cabinet painting page, or ask when we come out for the estimate.
