Charlotte houses have a texture problem

Most of the metro was built in three big waves — the 1950s and 60s inside the loop, the 1980s and 90s out toward the suburbs, and the mid-2000s subdivisions past that. Each wave used different wall texture, so a patch that blends perfectly in a Ballantyne house looks obviously wrong in Plaza Midwood. That's why we match texture on site instead of defaulting to one finish.

Older neighborhoods

In Plaza Midwood, Elizabeth, Dilworth and Myers Park we see plaster and lath alongside drywall, hand textures, and settling cracks that come back if they're only filled instead of properly taped. Those get repaired differently than a modern subdivision wall.

Newer subdivisions

In Ballantyne, Highland Creek, Indian Trail, Harrisburg and Fort Mill it's usually knockdown or orange peel over standard board — nail pops from settling, doorknob holes, and builder-grade paint that's gone chalky. Straightforward work, and texture matching is what decides whether it looks right.

Uptown and University City

Condos, apartments and offices near Uptown, NoDa and University City mostly mean smooth Level 4 or Level 5 walls, where every imperfection shows and the finish quality matters more than anywhere else.

Common questions

Serving your area

How far do you travel?

About twenty miles from Charlotte. That covers most of Mecklenburg County plus the near edges of Union, Cabarrus, Gaston and York County. If you're just outside it, call anyway — depending on the week and the size of the job we may still come.

Is there a trip charge?

No. Estimates are free anywhere in the service area, and we don't add travel to the price of the job.

Do you work in apartments and rentals?

Yes — turnovers, move-out patching, ceiling repairs and repaints for landlords and property managers, as well as owner-occupied homes.

Do you work outside normal hours?

Our normal hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm daily. For occupied offices and retail we schedule around your hours so you stay open.
