Drywall RepairExterior painting · Charlotte & 20 miles around
Siding, trim, doors and porches — washed, scraped, caulked, primed and painted so it holds up to Carolina sun, humidity and afternoon storms.
Exterior paint fails for two reasons: it went on over a dirty surface, or it went on over loose paint. Neither is about the quality of the paint. Charlotte's combination of heat, humidity and pollen makes both worse, and a house that was "painted two years ago" but is peeling almost always got skipped prep, not cheap paint.
Exterior paint needs reasonable temperature and dry surfaces to cure properly. In Charlotte that means spring and fall are ideal, summer works if we start early and follow the shade around the house, and we watch the forecast rather than starting a wall that's about to get rained on. Painting a damp surface is how you get a finish that peels in a year.
How it works
Reach a person, not a menu. Tell us what happened and send a photo if it helps. We answer daily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
We come look, measure and give you a written price. No pressure, no obligation, no charge for the visit.
Floors covered, dust controlled, texture matched. Most repairs are one visit; bigger jobs get a schedule up front.
We walk the job with you. If something isn't right, we fix it before we pack up.
Questions people ask
Roughly every five to ten years for most siding, depending on sun exposure, the substrate and how well the last job was prepped. South- and west-facing walls always fail first — sometimes those need attention years before the rest of the house does.
We wash the house before painting. On older siding we use lower pressure deliberately, because a strong pressure washer can drive water behind the siding and damage soft wood — which causes worse problems than the dirt it removed.
Yes, and it needs to happen before paint. Painting over rot hides it for a season and then the same board fails again, usually taking the new paint with it.
Spring and fall are ideal. Summer is workable if we start early and follow the shade. We watch the forecast and don't paint surfaces that are damp or about to be rained on.
Most single-family homes run several days to about a week depending on size, how much prep and repair is needed, and weather. You'll get a schedule before we start.
